What Is an Intensive Outpatient Program?

An Intensive Outpatient Program provides a higher level of structured behavioral health support than traditional outpatient therapy while allowing participants to maintain important parts of their everyday lives.

At One Behavioral Missouri, our IOP brings together therapy, psychoeducation, supportive group sessions, and practical skill development within a cohesive treatment plan. Our approach is designed to address more than individual symptoms by supporting the different aspects of life that contribute to mental health and continued recovery.

Two IOP Treatment Tracks

Mental Health IOP

Our Mental Health track focuses on helping participants stabilize symptoms, improve daily functioning, and integrate healthy strategies into everyday life.

Through structured therapy, education, group support, and practical skill development, participants can work toward greater emotional stability and improved ability to manage life’s challenges.

Dual Diagnosis IOP

Our Dual Diagnosis track provides integrated treatment for individuals experiencing a substance use disorder alongside a co-occurring mental health disorder.

Rather than treating these concerns separately, the program brings them together within a coordinated treatment approach designed to support recovery, emotional wellness, and continued progress.

Our Integrative Approach to Mental Health Care

We Treat You, Not Just Your Symptoms

At One Behavioral Missouri, we believe effective behavioral healthcare should look at the whole person.

Our intensive outpatient services bring together different methods, tools, and therapeutic approaches within a cohesive treatment plan. This integrative model allows participants to develop practical strategies while receiving support for the challenges affecting their mental health and recovery.

Our goal is to help you develop skills that can extend beyond the program and become part of your everyday lif

What Is Included in Our IOP?

Psychoeducation

Understanding your mental health is an important part of recovery. Our psychoeducation component provides participants with knowledge and practical understanding of mental health while helping them become more informed and active participants in their own recovery journey.

Therapy Incorporation

Our therapists incorporate multiple therapeutic strategies, including cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, acceptance, and dialectical behavioral therapies. Supportive group sessions also encourage shared experiences, communication, connection, and skill-building.

Skills & Strategy Development

Participants develop practical skills and techniques they can use to manage everyday challenges and continue working toward recovery outside of the program.
